Our house is really taking shape! You can actually tell it is a house and inside you can see how each room is laid out.
There is a roof, windows, front & back door. As you can see the brick is there ready to be installed. The inside is framed out and there is rough electrical and plumbing!
But there have also been a couple of issues we have had to deal with.
We are installing a tankless water heater that vents outside. See the photo, that is it. The problem is it is smack dab in the middle of our master bedroom wall where our bed is to be. Since our house is basically rectangular shaped, and we have a lot of windows on the back side of our house we didn't have a lot of options. We didn't run the risk of hearing it come on it had to be relocated. The plumber grudgingly moved it to the opposite end of the house and placed it in the garage. We were glad and will just have to wait a little longer for hot water. Oh well!! I'm still not sure those flex water pipes(red & white tubes) won't get hit by nails after drywall goes up.
We just notice the plumber ran the gas line in the attic space my husband is wanting to use for storage. That is going to have to be moved also. I'm sure they will love that!! And also will charge us for moving the line that is in the way. Oh the joys :)
I've started working part-time at a church as their publications person. I'm not real familiar with Photoshop and it is kicking my butt. Since I'm not real quick doing projects, my time is being taken up learning Photoshop tips. Hopefully I can get a handle on it and my hours will be part-time.
That is what is happening here. Have a great day

Lots Happening
First ~ progress on our house. They have finished framing and it looks like a house now!!
This is the beginning of framing
Here is the house just a little further along. The framers are now all done inside & out. This week plumbers and electricians will be busy working.
Second ~ My sister-in-law and I went to Round Top Antiques fair on a Saturday. It was very hard on me since I couldn't buy anything for our new house. We are living in a apartment and most everything is in storage. I'm not really sure what I will have to get rid of when we finally do move in. Here is a very small sampling of items there. If you live close and have never been you should experience it at least once in your life time. If you have been, let me know what you found!!
The antiques fair goes for miles and miles!! It is held two times a year and is a experience for sure.
Third ~ Life has just gotten a bit hectic. Birthday parties, work, house cleaning...everything takes time. I promise to do better in the future. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Essential Oil Room Spray
Since we are building a new home most of our belongings are in storage, like all my Fall decorations!!
So to help me get in the mood for cooler fall weather I am going to make some room spray with my essential oils from Young Living.
This is a easy recipe and smells great. Even though I don't have my candles, or pumpkins to set out I can still feel like I've done something for fall.
If you have heard about essential oils but never tried them, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have and let you know how to use them and the great benefits from the oils.
Contact me on this page or go HERE to look around.
There are tons of other great room sprays recipes or recipes for diffusing. I can't wait to try some.

Fun Stuff ~ Picking Fixtures
We had to wait for our HOA to approve our plans before we could start, so to save some time I have picked almost everything out for the new house. Today I will show you bathroom and kitchen fixtures.
This is our bathroom faucets but will be in shiny chrome. I'm trying to keep everything very simple looking. I also don't want a lot of crevices and crannies to make it easy to keep clean.
This is the tub in the master bath. It fits my husband who is almost 6 feet tall and that was the main reason it was picked, and that it had jets!! It is a bit blurry sorry.
This is the kitchen faucet. I was going to go with the Touch Technology one that is pictured here, but after reading all the reviews decided against it. The faucet I picked is just like this one except without the Touch feature.
If you have the Touch Technology faucet and love it, let me hear from you. My faucet will also be shine chrome and not brushed nickel as shown below.
That is it for today. I will post flooring that I have already picked later. Check back!!

1st Blog Post, Big News!!
This is my first post on this blog ~ woo hoo!! I know right now no one is following this blog or even knows about it. That's ok. It will take a little bit of time to get known.
We've started building our new home. It is very exciting and frustrating at the same time! Frustrating in the sense we have to wait on others for progress on our house. Why can't you frame today and not 2 weeks from now? Oh, you have other jobs in front of ours, ok fine.
You can see the very 1st step in our home building. You maybe able to see the lake in left top side of the picture. Our new house will be on a couple of acres and be on a small lake. This is the beginning of our new season also. Lake living being empty nesters!! Hence the title.
Come back often as I share new pics, and projects.
